Introduction
CitNOW Group provides market-leading solutions that support a sustainable, digital customer journey by reducing reliance on dealership visits, paper documentation and unnecessary travel – all of which drive positive environmental impact.
CitNOW Group’s commitment to the environment extends beyond its customer offering. Internally, the Company actively embeds environmentally conscious practices and responsible decision-making into its day-to-day operations to reduce its environmental footprint.
Policy Statement & Scope
This Policy Statement outlines the ways in which CitNOW Group embeds environmental considerations into its internal operations and culture, demonstrating a clear and ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility across all areas of the business.
Employee Education
CitNOW Group integrates sustainable thinking across the workforce by providing employees with targeted education and training on key environmental topics, including waste reduction, renewable energy and water conservation. This learning is delivered through structured e-learning modules designed to promote awareness, engagement and practical action and form part of a training pack for new employees to complete in their onboarding.
In addition, the Company has implemented several workplace initiatives to reduce paper waste and energy consumption. Employees are encouraged to limit unnecessary printing and electricity use through visible signage and ongoing internal communications. The Company also remains committed to recycling or donating unused equipment to charitable organisations wherever possible.
Employee Engagement & Community Partnerships
In 2024, CitNOW Group strengthened its commitment to ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) by establishing an internal ESG Committee, made up of team members from a range of departments and locations, who meet regularly to shape the ESG action plan and drive central initiatives forward. The Committee has resulted in several successfully delivered, environmentally focused initiatives outlined in more
detail below.
CitNOW Group’s first ESG Week was celebrated in November 2024 to educate and drive engagement
across the Environmental, Social and Governance pillars. As part of the week’s environmental focus, a sustainability competition was launched encouraging employees to share practical tips for making sustainable choices in their professional and personal lives. For each entry received, the Company pledged to plant a tree, resulting in 120 trees being planted through a partnership with Impact Hero, a leading charity advancing reforestation efforts across the Global South whilst also promoting economic opportunity and positive social impact.
The tips crowd sourced through the competition have since been integrated into the Company’s ‘ESG Slack Bot’, which provides employees with frequent real-time communications, reminders, and sustainability guidance.
CitNOW Group is proud to work with Hey Girls, a social enterprise on an important mission to eradicate period poverty in the UK and drive positive environmental and educational impact. Their high-quality period products, stocked in all UK office locations, are designed to be plastic-free and sustainably sourced, aligning with the Company’s commitment to reducing single-use materials.
Travel Policies
CitNOW Group’s travel policies have evolved significantly to support remote and hybrid working, resulting in reduced commuter-related emissions. The Company continues to assess how operational travel decisions contribute to its environmental footprint and adapts policies accordingly.
Green Benefits
CitNOW Group proudly offers a range of ‘green’ benefits to UK-based employees, including access to a Cycle to Work scheme and Electric Vehicle Leasing scheme, both designed to promote affordable, low-emission commuting and reduce reliance on carbon-intensive transport.
Compliance & Risk Management
CitNOW group is proud to report zero instances of environmental non-compliance over the past three years. To manage and mitigate risks effectively, the Company actively records and monitors ESG and climate-related risks in its enterprise risk register, which is reviewed regularly senior leadership. All risks are assigned to responsible owners, ensuring accountability and timely intervention.
Baselining Emissions & Setting Targets
In 2025, CitNOW Group completed its first calculation of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across Scope 1 and 2 categories. This milestone provides a reliable baseline for setting formal reduction targets and informs the Company’s wider strategy to achieve meaningful environmental improvements over time.
